• Site visits are conducted to ensure that minority ownership and control of the organization exists. The site visit also verifies that the company is an on-going concern. Certification staff will visit the corporate headquarters of the applicant. While on site, the certification staff will conduct an inspection of the site and interview the minority principals of the organization.

• Site visits can be conducted at home based businesses.

• The principals of the company must be present and available for questions during the site visit.

• A site visit does not guarantee certification with the SFMSDC
